Oh to be 24, but still live life like this...

Life has been crazy lately! Berkeley and I have been going non-stop since we got back from Hawaii and sometimes it feels like there isn't time to just take a deep breath. Berkeley is now working at Zimmer. It is much like his previous job at DePuy, but there is still quite a bit of learning involved. He also is doing school full-time and with finals approaching, we are both scrambling to stay on top of things. I am working also and doing my 3 weeks of student teaching at Park Elementary. It is fun but a lot of work. All in all, life is good, just busy and sometimes exhausting. This made me start to think about what life was like when we were little. My biggest worry was making it to 3 pm so I could come home from school and play the rest of the day away. Then, summertime...no work, no school, no worries. If only all adults could have some sort of summertime.

More from Hawaii!

Here are a few videos for your viewing pleasure. The first one is my favorite! We were driving to Pearl Harbor and I begged Berkeley to let me listen to the Little Mermaid soundtrack. He finally consented and not 5 minutes later he was totally singing along, so I took out our camera and took a secret video. I love how serious he looks when he is singing. And yes, he does not look at the road pretty much the whole time he is looking at the map...a bit scary.

In this video, the boys are "racing" the sea turtle. Had berkeley not gotten distracted and ran into the ocean, then he totally would have won.

This video is the LOST set. I am a huge LOST fan, so this was one of my favorite things to see! The last hut you see it Sawyer's. I love him.

The last two days we were in Hawaii, we got to hang out with Jeff and Lexi because our trips overlapped. It was awesome. Here is a quick video of them.

This last video is depressing. This is the weather we had to drive home in. If this is Mother Nature's idea of a joke, then I'm not laughing...

Aloha! I LOVE Hawaii!

Berkeley and I just got home from our vacation to Oahu. It was the best trip I have ever been on. There is nothing better than waking up to the sound of the ocean outside your window and the consistently warm weather. We had very few set plans, so every day was very relaxed. We played on as many beaches as possible on all sides the island. We kayaked, snorkeled, hiked, body boarded, surfed, and I did my fair share of sun-bathing. It was a perfect trip. Here are a few pictures to give you a sample of what the vacation was like. I have videos too. I will upload those in my next post.

At the beautiful arboretum(thanks for the spelling clarification Cam!)...which is a natural tree park.

Caged in the bamboo jungle like animals!

There were sea turtles everywhere at this beach!

This is Ron. He speared this fish!

Berkeley being taught how to kite surf.

Walk to the Hawaii Temple.

Kayaking at Hukilau Beach

No ladies...He is taken...

Lexi and I at the beach loving it all!

For all you LOST fans out there, here I am standing in front of James Sawyer's hut!

The Ward cousins pretending to be sea turtles.

LOST Fans: This is the church Mr. Echo began building last season..or was it two seasons ago?

Another cool one at Look-out point.

Berkeley snorkeling.

The Arizona Memorial.

Visible part of the sunken U.S.S. Arizona.

Ahhh...the ultimate form of relaxation!

Berk and I on Lexi and Jeff's hotel patio. Waikiki is behind us. Too bad you can't see it.

Goodbye DePuy, Hello ZImmer!

Berkeley decided to definately take the job with Zimmer. Depuy did offer to match the pay Zimmer offered and compensate us for our monthly insurance premium, but Berkeley just felt like Zimmer would be the best way to go. He also felt like the only reason Depuy was willing to give him a raise and benefits was because they had to in order to try and keep him. Otherwise, who knows how long he would have had to work there before getting the pay he will make at Zimmer just starting out. Don't get me wrong, Depuy is a great company and has been so good to Berkeley for the last 3 years, but a change will be good.
