From Chubby to Pregnant
I am doing student teaching right now at Sharon Elementary School. Today a 2nd grader who is not in my clsss came up to me and asked me when I was going to have my baby. My thought reaction went like this: "Thank goodness I really am pregnant", then "Yes! I now look pregnant and not just chubby anymore." I am 26 weeks along. I'm tired of the chubby stage.

Oh what a cute pregnant woman you are! I think you should post a picture of your cuteness.
Aw, I'm sure you're a cute pregnant girl!! I've heard a lot of girls say that though -- that they are glad when their stomach pops!
I was so happy the first time someone asked, "Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" I was like, "Yay! Someone finally thinks I'm pregnant!"
You need to post some pictures of that belly.
Hear hear!! oh wait...I'm not pregnant!!
You know you are in Utah when the students ask you about pregnancy as a normal conversation topic and know the terms such as "due date" and "morning sickness"!! Last year, six of our teachers were pregnant by Nov. One of my students asked me one day, "Mrs. Zavoral, when the freak are you going to get pregnant?" I asked him why he wanted to know. "Well, all the other teachers are pregnant. We want our teacher to get pregnant, too!" I assured him that he did not want a pregnant teacher. I would be sick and cranky and gone a lot. He thought it over and decided it was okay that I wasn't pregnant!
Are you at the Sharon Elem in Alpine district? I did a cohort there with Mr. VonGostomsky's 4th grade class. The students I taught would be in sixth grade now. I loved that school! Which grade are you teaching? Tell Mr. Von "hi" for me if you get the chance! I learned so many good things from him.
