Blogging Question

So how do I get my contact list to show blogs that have been updated recently? Mine still just shows the blog names and I have to browse each one to check for updates. It is a pain in the royal behind.

Do you have a google account? You'd have to access blogger.

Go to reader.google.com - login - enter in all your favorite blogs where it says "add a subscription" - and then new blogs show up as they are updated. You'll never have to visit anyone's blog again, unless you want to comment.

I don't know where you get the little widject that tells you ON your blog, but I use google reader to keep track of new ones. www.google.com/reader

I don't know the whole google reader world, but what I've done is you just go to where you can "add a gadget" and then you find the one that says, "blog roll" instead of a link list. You have to re-enter each blog address that you want to show, and the ones that are private won't update but the other ones will. You can customize how much info to update, post title, date, or even a picture and synopsis. That's how I've done it. Good luck!!

Not to be negative, but I was way excited to have our blog set up that way, and then I realized that 90% of the time it doesn't show accurate updates, it can be weeks behind no exageration. SO I changed ours back, and just check the ones i actually find interesting on a regular basis. Let's be honest, I spend waaayy too much time looking at bogs though.
